Purchasing Process

One of our biggest questions that we have gotten since we opened our doors in 1965 is: “Do you guys sell to the public?”  And that answer, since 1965, has always been: “Of Course!” Our team loves to visit with customers, and we pride ourselves on giving them not only the materials, but the advice necessary to turn your idea into a reality.  We enjoy investing in your projects on a personal level, and being a part of its inception.

Doing business with a local lumberyard for the first time can seem daunting, though.  So, our sales team collaborated to create a few guidelines to help facilitate our design/building process:

  1. Research: Make sure all necessary measurements are taken, and that you know what kind of material you would like to use.  For example, if you’re building a deck, would you like to use Cedar or Composite boards?  How much does cost and maintenance factor in?  If you are having a contractor build your structure, make sure that they are capable of building what you have in mind.
  2. Call ahead: If you give us a call before you come over, we can ensure that we have what you need to build your project. We can also let you know all pertinent information that we may need when designing your project.  Also, when you give us a heads up, we can let you know what we have in stock, as well as a time line on when we can get them to you.
  3. Come See us! Once you know what you’re trying to build, lets grab a pen and paper and start a plan on how to get it done!  Then we can print you out an itemized quote and break down all costs.
  4. Communicate: The most important facet throughout the project.  We would like to make sure that we are all on the same page at all times.  If we have an open line of discussion, it is much easier to ensure that your expectations are attainable, and that they are met as well as they can be.

We love working with new customers, home-owners and DIY’ers alike! So be sure to give us a call, and let’s get started on your new project!
